There are only a handful of places to eat and drink in Mae Hong Son, but the options which do exist in this isolated and sparsely populated region are unexpectedly high quality. Not so surprisingly, the majority of Mae Hong Son restaurants and bars are situated near the main road leading to Mae Hong Son town. There are also quite a few food stalls at the Mae Hong Son night market, a nightly food market close to the Monument of Phraya Singhanat Raja, and another market with food stands south of the airport runway.
